Job Description:
- Lead the integration of components and systems (electrical and software) into the overall vehicle architecture, ensuring compatibility, functionality, and high standards of quality.
- Develop and integrate vehicle communication protocols for automotive systems, such as CAN, J1939, and RV-C (databases and message structures).
- Work with the software team to implement diagnostics and fault-handling strategies for HV components.
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for system-related issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, hardware, software) to define and document system requirements and specifications.
- Develop and execute testing and validation plans to verify integrated system performance under various conditions and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
- Commissioning of electronic system of vehicles together with internal and external partners.
- Work closely with design, development, and manufacturing teams to support prototype builds and production launches.
- Maintain detailed documentation on system integration processes, testing results, and any modifications made for future reference.
- Provide support to vehicle production teams at our subsidiaries to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Identify opportunities for improving vehicle integration processes and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency, safety, and performance.
Skills/Experience required:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in vehicle integration, system engineering, or a related role within the automotive or similar industry.
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems (chassis, electrical, HVAC, infotainment, networking).
- Sound experience with automotive networking and different communication protocols esp. CAN (J1939, RV-C).
- Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of electric and high-voltage platform vehicles.
- Non-RV background is welcome; experience in Automotive, Marine, Powersports, or similar adjacent industries is also welcome
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
